DESCRIPTION:Jenny LeLean\, Head of Charity for Caritas Diocese of Portsmouth\, shares the latest news of a new briefing documentary on the climate and biodiversity crisis. \nThe People’s Emergency Briefing documentary brings together key moments from the National Emergency Briefing on the climate and biodiversity crisis\, which was given to MPs\, faith leaders and other influential figures in Westminster last November. Fronted by naturalist and broadcaster Chris Packham\, and featuring experts in the field\, including leading scientists\, an economist and an expert in national security\, it sets out clearly the climate and nature emergency that we are currently heading towards\, but also provides practical ideas about what can be done to improve the outlook. It is being shown in many community venues and churches of different denominations across the country.  Presented in ‘Goggle Box’ style\, it is very watchable and accessible as well as being highly informative. DESCRIPTION:We hold Healing masses in each church on the first Friday of the month. \nExcept on 3rd April 2026\, Good Friday. There will be no Healing Masses in April. \nWHAT IS A HEALING MASS? \nHealing Masses are opportunities to directly seek physical\, emotional\, psychological\, and spiritual healing. These Masses include a homily that is focused on healing\, prayers of the faithful that are directly asking God to heal us\, and prayers after communion that are prayed by the Priest to help facilitate greater healing in our lives. \nThe Mass is the most powerful way that we can seek healing as Christians. Jesus is present in the Mass through the Scriptures\, through giving Himself to us in His Body and His Blood\, and through our worship of Him. He is the one who heals us. The Mass helps to facilitate the healing that Jesus wants to give to all of us. \nMass times are:  10.00am at St. Joseph’s; 7.00pm at St. Edmund Campion Church; 10.00am at St Thomas More\, Twyford \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, 19 April at 4:30 pm\, the Catholic Bishops of England and Wales will hold a Holy Hour to pray for the promotion of a culture of life in our lands.\nWe are asking the parishes and Catholic communities of our two nations to unite and hold a Holy Hour on the same day as the Bishops.\nThis is to present a unified\, prayerful front to offer this petition to Our Lord for the dignity of life from conception to natural end and to pray that assisted suicide will not become law.
