The Holy Family Parish of Maidenhead and Twyford launched at Pentecost and comprises St. Josephs and St. Edmund Campion in Maidenhead, St. Elizabeths in Cookham, St. Thomas More in Twyford, Our Lady of Peace in Wargrave, as well as St. John’s Convent in Kiln Green, which also reside in our Parish and who we work with, to spread and celebrate the word of God and the Sacraments of the Church.

Father Liam Cummins, Parish Priest says “I can’t think of a better date in the church calendar to celebrate the creation of our Holy Family Parish, than when we came together to be inspired by the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the birth of the Church”.

The new Parish joined together in a well-attended, vibrant and colourful inaugural mass concelebrated by all the clergy, at the designated Parish Church at St. Joseph’s, where parishioners from all the different churches came together, to get to know each other and to mark the first day of our new parish community.

“it’s been a fascinating journey so far, as we implement ‘You will be my Witnesses’, in joining all our different faith communities together as one parish. The depth and diversity of our faith community and the delightful stories that we have discovered along the way have been wonderful, and I expect more to follow” says Liam, “we now turn our attention to Evangelisation and Formation, and how we can encourage others to join us”.
