We are extremely fortunate to be able to offer The Rescue Project as part of the Adult Faith Formation programmes in our parish.

The Rescue Project flows from the conviction that the most urgent task in the Church is a compelling and attractive proclamation of the gospel. Its aim is threefold: that people might be 1) overwhelmed by the good news of what God has done for us, 2) moved to surrender their lives to Jesus in faith, and, 3) mobilised for mission.

This is a Catholic-centric programme consisting of 8 weekly sessions and the opportunity to participate in a half day retreat. The Rescue Project is already having a positive impact on the spiritual lives of members of our parish community and they are keen to share this with us all.

The Rescue Project is set based in St. Joseph’s in Maidenhead. Between our parish and the Parish of Christ the King in Windsor and Ascot, The Rescue Project expects to bring together Catholics from around 10 churches in the area, potentially attracting dozens of participants at once – so you need never feel alone in your journey closer to Christ.

You Matter. We live our lives based on the stories we believe… but what if there is another story? That story is the gospel, and it is explosive, extraordinary, life-changing news! The Rescue Project is an 8-week experience of community, conversation, prayer and the gospel.

When the next course is available for booking details will be posted here. Typically, the Rescue Project is held each year, on Tuesday evenings from 19:00 after evening Mass at St Josephs.

The intention is to include parishioners from Ascot, Maidenhead, Sunningdale, Twyford and Windsor, bringing our local Catholic-Christian community closer together. The weekly format will include prayer, a simple meal, music, a video and discussion.

If you have already tried Alpha (or have considered it, but never joined), perhaps The Rescue Project is for you? It is aimed at all levels of faith from priest to no faith at all, so all are welcome!
