ADoRE live in Reading: The Heart of holiness is love
On Saturday 24th October, 9.30am – 3:30pm there is a great opportunity for your parishioners and communities to join ADoRE live in Reading (or via YouTube livestream) for the next session in their 2026 programme, exploring God’s amazing love. This month’s focus is on the theme: “The Heart of Holiness is Love” – how sainthood is for ordinary people! ADoRE leader Alastair Emblem explains:
“Holiness is about recognizing and serving the Lord in those who are in need, as we live out our ordinary everyday lives. We do this out of love for God. The good we do, we do simply and humbly for and in Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit.”
This month’s guest speaker will be Judith Aylmer, who has been involved with ADoRE since the late eighties. She co-ordinates ADoRE’s Intercessory Prayer Support Team, helps with administration and is the principal Zoom meeting Co-host. She is also the CHARIS Portsmouth Diocesan Co-ordinator.
Anyone can attend free of charge, it will be helpful if you can register in advance to attend in person, as this will save time when you arrive. If you can’t be with us in person, join the YouTube live-stream from 10am – 1pm via this link (no registration required). There are more details on the meeting agenda, how to get to English Martyrs, Reading, what to bring, and other useful information here.
ADoRE is a monthly meeting of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, dedicated to the encouragement of a personal relationship with God, through Jesus, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Formed in 1975 in Portsmouth Diocese, it is one of the longest continually running Charismatic Days of Renewal in Britain.
