Caritas: People’s Emergency Briefing Documentary – local screenings
Jenny LeLean, Head of Charity for Caritas Diocese of Portsmouth, shares the latest news of a new briefing documentary on the climate and biodiversity crisis.
The People’s Emergency Briefing documentary brings together key moments from the National Emergency Briefing on the climate and biodiversity crisis, which was given to MPs, faith leaders and other influential figures in Westminster last November. Fronted by naturalist and broadcaster Chris Packham, and featuring experts in the field, including leading scientists, an economist and an expert in national security, it sets out clearly the climate and nature emergency that we are currently heading towards, but also provides practical ideas about what can be done to improve the outlook. It is being shown in many community venues and churches of different denominations across the country. Presented in ‘Goggle Box’ style, it is very watchable and accessible as well as being highly informative. You can watch a trailer here.

- Friday 15th May, 7-9pm: The Whitty Theatre, Wokingham
- Friday 29th May, 7-9pm: The Oakwood Centre, Woodley
